Taping

Take a load off with therapeutic tape.

There are times when an injury requires complete rest from movement so that it can heal. Elastic, but still quite stiff, therapeutic tape is used to take the load off injured soft-tissues and relieve pressure on nerves. And, in certain cases, it is used to physically limit the movement of a joint, and sometimes the spine. Hawkstone physical therapists use therapeutic taping to treat conditions like Plantar Fasciitis and Tennis Elbow, and to correct poor postural habits such as the hyperextension of the knee and slumping shoulders.
