Jennifer graduated from the University of Alberta in 2014 with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and a Bachelors in Physical Education in 2011.

Jennifer completed her acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in February 2016 and her Gokavi Transverse Technique certification in November 2016. This is a dry needling technique that can be combined with electro stimulation for muscle and myofascial injuries. She has also earned her Certificate in Peripheral Joint Manipulation, has completed her Level 3s in Advanced Orthopaedic and Manual Manipulative Physiotherapy, successfully completing her Part A exam in November 2020. Jennifer has also completed her K-taping certification in November 2015.

Jennifer was part of the University of Alberta Pandas Volleyball program from 2008-2011. Her passion for volleyball and rehabilitation lead her to do a summer internship with the head therapist of the Canadian National Women’s Volleyball Team. While working with the national team, Jennifer furthered her knowledge of sport injuries and returning athletes to play. She also volunteered her time with the University of Alberta Pandas volleyball team in their 2013-2014 season as a consulting therapist.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys working out, playing volleyball, hiking, and going on walks with her husband and dogs.
