Gabrielle graduated from Brock University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Honors. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2013. Gabrielle is currently designated as a level 2 manual therapist through the Orthopedic Division of Physiotherapy and is continuing to further her skills in manual therapy. More recently, Gabrielle completed her Acupuncture certification.
Throughout her education Gabrielle gained practical training in multiple settings and developed a strong focus on treating geriatric orthopedic conditions and sport injuries including concussion rehabilitation. Gabrielle was a student athletic trainer for the Brock Men’s and Women’s Swimming team for two consecutive years and has worked as a Kinesiologist at multiple retirement homes where she assisted residents in therapeutic exercise programs. She was a competitive figure skater that competed at the National level in synchronised skating and enjoys running, hiking, snowboarding and swimming. Gabrielle is also experienced in treating vestibular dysfunction including vertigo, dizziness and motion sensitivity. Gabrielle looks forward to using her new acupuncture knowledge to assist in reducing pain and inflammation, as well as to supplement her treatment and management of many symptoms associated with concussion including headache, dizziness and visual sensitivities.
Gabrielle strongly believes in effective communication and patient understanding to achieve therapeutic goals and self-management. She possesses a strong passion for assisting others in achieving their goals and empowering them to participate in the treatment plan.
